KK makes a comprehensive range of surface water drainage systems for a variety of applications and loadings.

Slit or Slot Drain - Slit or Slot Drains combine a storm water collection system with the carrier pipe. They provide an effective, discreet, and aesthetically appealing method of drainage. These drains incorporate a 20 mm wide slit/slot at the top through which the water drains.The slit is diverging in shape which discourages silt from clogging the drain. The water collected is carried via an integrated pipe ranging in diameter from 150mm to 300mm. Due to the pipe shaped body of the drain these drains offer improved hydraulics compared to traditional U shaped drains. They are also easy to clean and maintain. These type of drains are ideal for providing storm water draining on roads, car parks, malls, pedestrian areas, industrial sites, and airport taxiways. They can be designed to take on light (i.e, pedestrian) to extremely heavy loads (i.e., heavy duty trucks).

Saucer Drains - Saucer drains provide a means to collect water overflows or storm water in pedestrian areas, malls, parking lots, etc. They also come with holes to allow the collected water to be discharged into a another drainage system. KK manufactures saucer drains ranging in width from 450mm to 600mm.

U Drains - Precast concrete U drains allow for speedier construction of channels with minimum wet cast concrete work. KK manufactures a full range of U shaped drains. These drains range in widths from 200 mm to 855 mm. They are produced in strict factory controlled conditions that ensure high quality. Besides storm water drainage, these types of drains are also used to house underground cables and waterlines in industrial setup.
Slit Drain System
  • Manufactured with M - 30 grade of concrete by vibro compaction process
  • Suitably reinforced for handling and to withstand light to extra heavy duty loads
  • Provided with a tongue and groove joint to create a water tight joint between adjacent units (it is recommended to fill the groove with cement mortar)
  • The drain should be installed on a properly compacted base

  • Suitably reinforced to promote long life
  • For Jointing, it is recommended to fill the joint between two adjacent drains with cement mortar
  • The drain should be laid on a properly compacted base
  • Heavier drains are provided with lifting nuts
